We came to this restaurant because of a recommendation while visiting the Woodlands area near Houston, TX. A French inspired menu in a relatively fancy area, what could go wrong? In fact, everything did. I ordered a croissant sandwich, and if you look at the photo, this has to be the worst presented plate ever. No care at all. The other part of the order was a Quiche Lorraine... the servers forgot about this, and only after we came to the person who took the order asking about it, they proceeded to warm up a pre-made pie. We were not impressed. Later, we found out that this particular location will shut down next week because of a rent increase. This might explain the carelessness in serving their customers these days. We were also told that they are closing yet another location nearby, and judging by the quality seen here, they will probably end up closing every one of their restaurants...

La Madeleine is the only French-fast-casual counter service chain in the area; it offers Americanized French fare and a cozy dining room. It's an easy place to get pasta, quiche, or pastry with a glass of wine. The baked goods are made fresh daily, and the pasta is made to order. The food quality is commensurate with the value, and the dining room, with its French look and feel, is gimmicky but still finds a way to be fun. I particularly like the Chicken La Madeleine (600 cal) with grilled chicken, broccoli, and rice; it's a common choice for those seeking a healthy bite. The crepes make a credible alternative to the nearby Sweet Paris, although the selection is far more limited. This location has been here since Market Street opened, but it is still in pretty good shape, although all La Madeleine locations look and feel a bit dirty. There is a bathroom here, but it's always been a "look, but don't touch" level of cleanliness. They have a large gas fireplace going in late fall and winter, which adds to the ambiance. The food here is so good. The staff are very friendly and helpful with ordering and receiving food. They were running $10 specials of two salads and a soup or a salad, an item, and a soup so it was a very reasonable lunch. The food is always delicious and fresh.

This restaurant is located in the market Street area of the Woodlands Texas. They specialize in French cuisine, with a lot of American adaptations. Today we stopped in for lunch with our grandchildren. So we all had different kinds of sandwiches, as well as dessert. Everything was great. Their tomato basil bisque was awesome as usual. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful food and coffee. I got to try a little of all the delights that they have and everything was exceptionally in both taste and appearance. The cappuccino was well bodied as well as the espresso. The salmon I did like but as far as taste the sauce on top was a little too sweet for me but the salmon itself was cooked to my liking. The pasta was wonderful had a very nice pesto base sauce which made it extra delicious. Prices are pretty reasonable and one snack during my study time unfortunately led to many because they where so good from the fruit tarts to the Creme Brulee. The mini tarts also if you love them are 6 for $11.49 which is a good deal since each are $2.49 a piece. Comfortable atmosphere and wonderful staff. They have seating that can accommodate big parties. Overall a very good and reputable establishment with good quality food and staff.
